About the department:

This role is within the 30-person HR team, based in London and Cardiff. The team works together to provide excellent employment conditions for the firm’s people, covering all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

About the role:

The Learning and Development Advisor will support the Head of People Development in providing learning opportunities for trainees, associates, partners, and business teams. The goal is to help everyone develop and maintain the right skills to drive the business forward, through a structured, modular learning and development program.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver professional skills and leadership development programs to all career groups and levels of seniority.
  • Conduct training needs analysis and develop new learning and development programs.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor eLearning materials.
  • Update learning materials to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Advise on learning and development interventions and bespoke learning needs.
  • Develop processes for obtaining feedback.
  • Play a key role in delivering induction programs.
  • Maintain key documents, frameworks, materials, and intranet sites.
  • Source and advise on external training providers.
  • Monitor external training provision.
  • Promote the value of learning and development.
  • Keep up to date with relevant trends and initiatives.
  • Supervise and coach the People Development Coordinator.
  • Assist early careers professionals in developing learning frameworks and materials.

Person Specification:

  • Experience working in a professional services environment is essential.
  • Degree level education or equivalent experience.
  • CIPD or equivalent L&D professional qualification.
  • Confident in delivering internal management and personal skills development programs.
  • Good understanding of all aspects of L&D training needs analysis, program design, delivery and evaluation.
  • Experience with associated systems and software and external training provider relationship management.

Academic Achievements/Specialist Skills:

  • Degree level education (or equivalent experience), and ideally CIPD qualified.
  • Experience using e-learning creation tools.
  • Accreditation in at least one psychometric.

Abilities and desired qualities:

  • At least four years of experience working at L&D Advisor level.
  • Passion for helping others learn and develop.
  • Love delivering in-person development programs.
  • Experience developing different forms of learning, including e-learning.
  • Proven ability to develop effective working relationships.
  • Proactive, confident, tenacious, resilient, and flexible.
  • Strong service orientation, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • First-class written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commercial approach.

Additional information:

  • Flexibility to work additional hours and travel to other offices when required.
