New VP HR post-restructure

The challenge

Following the departure of their HR Director, Mizuho restructured their HR strategy and were seeking an experienced VP HR, ideally from the financial services sector, to oversee their securities business in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf. The role was to be based in their Frankfurt office.

The solution

We contacted our extensive network of senior HR leaders in banking and financial services in Frankfurt, targeting those who we knew would be both interested in and suitable for the role. To diversify our shortlist and offer a broad overview of the market, we also tapped into our professional services network. We held initial screenings and in-depth interviews and presented qualified candidates on a weekly basis.

The outcome

We presented a strong shortlist, with many candidates reaching the final interviews. We successfully placed an experienced HR Manager from the financial services sector with the generalist and learning and development experience that was crucial for Mizuho. It was a great match and both the candidate and Mizuho remain happy with the successful collaboration.
