Join a Leading Health Charity as Head of Reward!
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact? We’re thrilled to support one of the leading UK health charities in their quest for a Head of Reward to join initially on a 12-month basis. In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the forefront of modernising their total reward strategy, working closely with the Chief People Officer and leading a dynamic team of three.
What You’ll Do:
Lead with Purpose
- Inspire and guide a talented Reward & Payroll team who focus on benefits administration, reward management, and payroll delivery.
- Set clear goals and objectives that motivate and empower your team.
- Cultivate strong relationships with business leaders to ensure reward principles align with organisational goals.
- Collaborate with the wider HR team to streamline reward governance and processes
- Harness technology to enhance and evolve the employee experience within reward and payroll functions.
Pay & Reward Strategy
- Shape a reward strategy that attracts, engages, and retains top talent within the charity.
- Regularly review and refine the pay strategy to ensure it meets the needs of the organisation.
- Champion effective communication of reward programs, ensuring all employees are well-informed and engaged.
- Oversee the delivery of the pay strategy across the charity, navigating the complexities of a diverse workforce.
- Develop and implement key reward and benefit policies that resonate with the charities values.
- Manage cyclical and ad-hoc reward projects with precision and insight.
- Ensure robust governance around off-cycle compensation activities and maintain a clear job architecture across the charity.
- Build strong relationships with external benefit providers, ensuring they meet employee needs.
- Ensure payroll processes are delivered with the utmost accuracy, supporting the Payroll Manager as needed.
Recognition Champion
- Foster a culture of recognition by developing impactful recognition activities that celebrate all employees.
- Bring fresh ideas and thought leadership on the connection between recognition and retention.
Insights & Reporting
- Collaborate with the CPO to prepare insightful papers for the RemCo, focusing on executive pay and market trends.
- Ensure the production and publication of annual gender and ethnicity pay data reports.
- Provide valuable insights to the HR leadership team, helping inform key decisions on pay and reward strategies.
- Create engaging visual proposals and data analyses for C-suite presentations, working cross-functionally to deliver high-quality outputs.
Who You Are:
The charity is looking for experienced reward leaders who excel at building relationships and bringing out the best in people. Strong influencing skills and the ability to craft data-driven business cases are essential, as is a knack for presenting to C-suite audiences. In return you’ll join a highly agile environment, working a 35 hour week and one day a week in their London office + 30 days of annual leave. This role is ideal for a reward leader looking to give something back or someone who is naturally passionate and supportive about the vital role the third sector plays in society.
