Summary:

The Co-worker Relations Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of the Co-worker Relations program, ensuring smooth operations in areas such as personnel administration, policy development, wage and salary structuring, and compliance within Human Resources. This role is accountable for creating, interpreting, and recommending policies, procedures, and strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and recommend strategic goals and objectives related to co-worker relations.
  • Lead the creation, implementation, and management of the co-worker relations program to enhance overall employee satisfaction.
  • Foster a family-friendly organizational culture.
  • Identify staffing and recruitment needs and establish best practices for talent acquisition and management.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align staffing, recruitment, and retention strategies with the organization’s overall objectives.
  • Supervise and guide staff responsible for recruitment, selection, and the development of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the creation and administration of in-service training and educational programs to improve productivity at all levels of the organization.
  • Investigate workplace issues, including working conditions, disciplinary actions, and employee grievances, providing recommendations and guidance to resolve these matters.
  • Prepare and present regular and ad hoc reports as required.
  • Develop and manage the Human Resources department’s budget, ensuring all activities are executed within allocated resources.
  • Evaluate co-worker performance and make recommendations regarding hiring, promotions, terminations, disciplinary actions, and commendations.
  • Supervise the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring eligibility and overseeing the orientation procedure.
  • Lead recruitment efforts, including advertising and outreach, in collaboration with other departmental leaders as needed.
  • Provide clear communication and training to directors and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience with unionized environments.
