I am delighted to be supporting a market leading global logistics business to appoint an Industrial Relations Lead.

The business has an extensive portfolio of clients and prides itself on the innovative systems and services it offers across airports, warehousing and parcel sectors. This role will focus only on the UK industrial relations.

The role…

The organisation is looking to appoint an Industrial Relations Lead to join the Head of Services team and manage and resolve complex industrial relations issues across the organisation. The role will work closely with senior leaders across a key account to ensure they offer balanced advice based on risk assessment to support managers with IR matters.

Some of the key responsibilities are laid out below:

  • You will be the lead on all industrial relations and dispute resolution processes which will include mediation and consultation and drafting decisions.
  • Work with Unions and the business to maintain and develop strong relationships.
  • Lead on pay negotiations and complex IR casework from investigation to resolution.
  • Stay up to date and ensure that new legislation is presented to the wider organisation and implemented.
  • Provide expert advice to the senior leaders on the correct management of any industrial relations matters.

To be successful in this role you must have experience working across industrial relations and work with unions on a regular basis to resolve disciplinaries, grievances and performance related queries. You will have worked across a similar sector such as aviation, logistics or warehouse/postal services.

You will have experience working across mediation and effective dispute resolution processes. Ideally you will have experience working with Unite union.

You will be able to demonstrate your experience in working on multiple cases and happy to advise on IR best practise and support.

You must have experience working across TUPE and strong project management.

Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 (experience dependant)

Location: West London, 3 days per week – free parking on site or easy travel link via Elizabeth Line or M25.
