HR Business Partner – ER/IR focus
We are partnering with a privately owned investment group who have operations across several industries, largely manufacturing and industrial, with circa 4000 employees across multiple sites nationally.
They have a newly created opportunity for a HR Business Partner to work closely with the Head of HR. Based in the Sydney CBD head office, with occasional travel to sites, this is a great opportunity for a HRBP who enjoys IR & ER and is looking for a role with a huge amount of breadth and diversity and the opportunity to work directly with business leaders, in a highly commercial, pragmatic environment.
The Role
- Provide high quality strategic and tactical advice to all facets of the business
- Successfully action employee relations issues in line with Australian legislation, Enterprise agreements, and company policies and procedures
- Provide high quality, accurate and timely HR advice
- Develop practical and robust ER strategies with business leaders and assist with negotiating enterprise agreements with site management teams
- Support capability development initiatives, including performance management processes and training
- Identify and analyse emerging trends, issues and information to inform decision making
- Work closely with and support the National Head of HR on initiatives across all Australian businesses
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (HR, industrial relations, business management, law)
- 5+ years’ experience gained from a sizable company, ideally manufacturing, industrial or similar
- Ability to interpret and apply employment legislation such as Modern Awards and the Fair Work Act.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
