HR Director (New York City)

Compensation: $175,000 – $200,000 base + 20% bonus

Position Overview:

As the HR Director for a global leading aviation company, you will play a pivotal role in driving business objectives by partnering with senior leadership and operations to align HR initiatives with the company’s strategic goals. This individual contributor position highly prefers someone with global HR experience, a balance of strategic oversight and tactical execution, and a passion for creating an engaging and energetic workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

· Partner with the Head of Human Resources to align HR processes with business goals, collaborating with senior leaders where appropriate to achieve key objectives.

· Drive the talent acquisition strategy to ensure effective hiring across the organization.

· Personally lead recruitment efforts for key or challenging roles including sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews and extending offers

· Build and maintain relationships with all recruiting partners and agencies

· Partner with hiring managers to design and implement recruiting strategies to identify top talent

· Drive workforce planning and talent management strategies in line with business requirements and growth initiatives.

· Guide and support site HR leaders and team to improve HR services to client groups.

· Oversee the performance management process, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines for goal setting, reviews, and performance improvement plans.

· Ensure performance-related data and documentation are up to date, accurate, and compliant with company policies.

· Facilitate employee training on performance management processes.

· Support the implementation of the learning and development roadmap to enhance employee skills in collaboration with corporate L&D teams.

· Partner with business leaders to identify development needs and provide talent management solutions to foster employee growth.

· Act as the primary HR point of contact in New York for employee queries, providing guidance on policies and processes.

· Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle from recruitment to exit, including performance management and any necessary corrective actions. -This position will require heavy recruitment.

· Lead local HR projects, including employee engagement and culture-building activities, aligned with broader corporate HR initiatives.

· Support compensation and benefits programs, ensuring adherence to budget constraints and internal parity.

· Support the annual compensation review process, job analysis, and FLSA classifications.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Strategic yet hands-on role requiring a dynamic, energetic leader with global HR experience, a deep understanding of operational and business needs, and the ability to deliver HR initiatives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (SPHR/SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proven ability to build trust and strong working relationships at all levels of the organization.
    • Strong Talent Acquisition experience
    • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and decision-making skills.
    • Experience in a global position or operating in a global organization
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with HRIS systems, benefits administration, and employee engagement strategies.
