Senior Payroll Specialist
Location: On-site 4 days/week, 1 day WFH
Pay: $40-$45 per hour

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and its full capabilities. Experience with payroll taxes, union payroll, employee rosters, and disability leave processing is essential. A background in industries such as real estate, property management, hospitality, insurance, or retail is preferred. In addition to managing payroll, you will play a key role in optimizing ADP Workforce Now for improved payroll efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- ADP Workforce Now Optimization: Spearhead the implementation and optimization of ADP Workforce Now across payroll and HR systems, improving efficiency and accuracy.
- Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll processing for union and non-union employees, ensuring full compliance with laws, collective bargaining agreements, and company policies.
- Union Payroll: Oversee union payroll, including maintaining union databases, eligibility reports, and ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
- Payroll Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate tax calculations and filings for local, state, and federal taxes, staying current on tax laws and regulations.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze payroll reports, providing insights to senior management and assisting with ad-hoc reporting needs.
- Employee Records Management: Maintain and update employee rosters in ADP Workforce Now, including personal data, payroll adjustments, benefits, garnishments, and leaves of absence.
- Benefits Administration: Oversee disability claims, employee leaves of absence (LOA), garnishments, and benefits eligibility (union and non-union employees).
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure payroll compliance and resolve discrepancies.
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with ADP Workforce Now, including employee data management, report generation, and system improvements.
- Deep knowledge of union payroll processing, including union database management and eligibility criteria.
- Expertise in payroll tax laws at federal, state, and local levels, including wage garnishments, unemployment, and other deductions.
- Strong Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, etc.) for reporting and data analysis.
- Experience with managing employee rosters, disability claims, LOA administration, and garnishments.
- Ability to manage complex payroll processes in high-volume environments, particularly in real estate, property management, hospitality, insurance, or retail.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on improving systems and payroll processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with implementing or optimizing ADP Workforce Now within a company.
- Familiarity with industry-specific payroll requirements in real estate, property management, hospitality, insurance, or retail.
Skills:
- Expertise in ADP Workforce Now
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and union agreements
- Ability to manage complex payroll reporting and data analysis
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
