Payroll Specialist
Primary Responsibilities
- 7+ years of experience
- Assist the Sr. Payroll Director to process payroll for all U.S. offices, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws
- Support global payroll processing as needed
- Provide customer support to employee inquiries which includes calls from management and employees pertaining to their pay/deductions, enrollments etc. and provide timely response
- Ensure the accuracy of payroll data, including benefit changes, 401(k) contributions, profit-sharing programs, and employee status changes (hires/terminations)
- Assist in identifying potential issues within the payroll process, escalating concerns appropriately and through proper communication channels
- Make recommendations to improve payroll process efficiencies and help execute solutions
- Conduct independent reviews of all Payroll processing prior to confirmation to ensure accuracy of pay
- Perform system input of Federal and State tax setup as requested for new or existing employees
- Provide support to Human Resources and other team on payroll related issues as needed including data reporting
- Participate in special projects and other payroll related responsibilities as assigned
