Temporary Payroll Specilaist

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurately processing the organization’s payroll in a timely manner. This includes calculating wages, preparing and distributing paychecks, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The Payroll Specialist will also handle payroll-related inquiries and maintain accurate records.

· Contract duration: 2-3 month

· Location: Miami, FL – onsite or reside in New York- remote

· Schedule: Standard hours & Mon-Fri; 5x/wk. onsite

· Pay: $40/hr.-$60/hr.

Responsibilities:

· Calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings accurately.

· Process payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring timely distribution of paychecks.

· Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

· Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, including taxes, deductions, and benefits.

· Stay updated on changes to payroll regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

· Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure accurate employee data and payroll processing.

· Generate payroll reports for management as needed.

· Assist with audits and other payroll-related tasks as required.

Qualifications:

· Prior end-to-end experience in payroll processing.

· Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.

· Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now.

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

· Knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
