Temporary People Operations Associate
Job Title: People Operations Associate (Temporary)
Location: Downtown Manhattan (Fully Onsite)
Pay Range: $35 – $43 per hour, based on experience
Role Overview:
The People Operations team is responsible for managing processes, systems, and initiatives that impact the workforce. As a People Operations Associate, you will work closely with the People Operations Manager to manage day-to-day operations and support key initiatives. This role offers the chance to participate in scaling people operations within a fast-growing environment while improving existing processes and workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own the onboarding process from offer through day 1 for all new employees; gather feedback to continuously improve the experience.
* Manage sensitive employee data, ensuring it is secure, up to date, and compliant, and accessible for reporting requests.
* Research best practices and suggest improvements to processes and policies.
* Serve as the point of contact for day-to-day HR requests (e.g., PTO, benefits, and HR systems inquiries).
* Assist with various initiatives and projects, supporting the People Operations Manager and other team leaders.
* Process bi-weekly payroll and handle employee benefits-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
* At least four years of HR experience in a fast-paced environment, with an interest in expanding HR knowledge.
* Minimum two years of experience with HRIS, including administrative tasks and building SOPs or end-user training.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, along with exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal).
* Ability to manage shifting priorities and apply project management methods effectively.
* High attention to detail when handling critical employee information.
* Proactive in improving processes and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency.
Preferred:
* Familiarity with additional HR tools and technologies.
* Interest in finance and/or technology.
