Temporary Recruiter
Job Title: Recruiter (Temporary, 6-Month Role)
Location: Remote (must reside in New York, NY
Duration: 6-months
Job Summary:
The Recruiter will develop and implement effective staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates for the organization. This is a temporary, 6-month position with remote work flexibility, though the candidate should be available to come into the office as needed.
- Manage the entire recruitment process, from sourcing and screening candidates to scheduling interviews and conducting them with hiring managers and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with department managers to create detailed, accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria for open roles.
- Develop and implement targeted sourcing strategies for a variety of roles based on organizational needs and industry standards.
- Assist with posting job openings and managing recruitment advertising campaigns to ensure maximum exposure.
- Collaborate with the hiring manager and HR team during the offer process, including recommending salary ranges, incentives, and start dates.
- Ensure recruitment processes comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies.
- Attend and represent the organization at job fairs, college recruitment sessions, and other networking events to attract new talent.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the recruitment function.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with effective negotiation abilities.
- Ability to create and implement strategic sourcing and recruitment plans.
- Highly proactive and independent with strong initiative and time management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of recruitment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a remote environment, with flexibility to visit the office as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least five years of experience managing full-cycle recruitment processes, preferably in a similar industry.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred; Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
